Newcastle United, West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur – Where will Kurt Zouma go?

Kurt Zouma’s Chelsea future is very much up in the air at the moment.

The French defender has been a hot topic of discussion in the Blues’ transfer mill of late.

Zouma was signed by Jose Mourinho in January 2014 for £12 million from St Etienne.

The centre-back showed great promise over the next year and a half but was subsequently ruled out with a lengthy injury.

Zouma then spent two seasons on loan with different English clubs before being recalled by Frank Lampard in 2019.

The French defender has since played enough games in a Chelsea shirt to showcase his quality but has failed to take his game to the next level.

The 26-year-old has now been deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

Newcastle United, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Zouma – but where will he go?

Zouma’s wages are an issue for Newcastle, making a move to St James’ Park unlikely.

West Ham’s interest has only just come to light, while Tottenham have been pondering a move for a while.

Spurs been put off by the £25m asking price after recently spending £42m on Christian Romero from Atalanta.

With 12 days to go before the transfer window closes, Zouma’s future is very much on a knife-edge.

Given Chelsea’s transfer strategy, the Blues are unlikely to sell him if clubs fail to meet their demands.
